• Camera & Photos: If you grant permission, we use your device's camera and photo library solely to allow you to upload a profile photo or food images within the app. Camera and photo data is never shared with third parties or used for advertising purposes. You can revoke camera permissions at any time in your device's Settings.
• Health & Nutrition Data: Food logs, calorie and macro entries, water intake, and your daily goals that you input manually or via the AI assistant.
• Health Platform Data: If you grant permission, we read burned calorie and activity data from Apple HealthKit (iOS) or Google Health Connect (Android) to display your net calorie balance (calories eaten minus calories burned). This data is never shared with third parties for advertising purposes.
• Device & Usage Data: App version, operating system, crash logs, and general usage patterns to improve app stability and performance.
• Subscription Information: Purchase receipts processed through Apple's in-app purchase system. We do not store credit card or payment details.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, maintain, and improve the Nucalo app and its features.
• To sync your data across your devices when you are signed in.
• To process and validate your subscription status.
• To send important service notifications (e.g., account changes, policy updates).

4. HealthKit & Health Data

Nucalo integrates with Apple HealthKit to read burned calories and activity data. We are committed to Apple's HealthKit guidelines:

• Health platform data will never be used for advertising or sold to data brokers.
• Health platform data will never be shared with third parties except as needed to operate the app (e.g., syncing to your account on our servers).
• You can revoke HealthKit permissions at any time in your iPhone's Privacy & Security settings.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your nutrition and health data is stored locally on your device. When you are signed in, your data is securely synced to our cloud servers (Firebase/Google Cloud) using encrypted connections (TLS). We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption at rest and access controls.

6. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with:

• Firebase (Google): Cloud database and authentication services.
• Apple: Sign in with Apple, HealthKit, and in-app purchases.
• Legal obligations: If required by law, court order, or government authority.

7. Data Retention & Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app (Profile → Delete Account). Upon deletion, your data will be permanently removed from our servers within 30 days. Local data on your device must be cleared by uninstalling the app.

Nucalo is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

By downloading, installing, or using Nucalo ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Nucalo is a calorie and nutrition tracking application that helps users log food intake, track macros, monitor water consumption, and optionally sync data with Apple Health. Nucalo offers both a free tier and a premium subscription ("Nucalo Premium").

3. User Accounts

You may use Nucalo as a guest or create an account using Sign in with Apple or Google. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activities that occur under your account. You must provide accurate information and notify us of any unauthorized use.

4. Subscriptions & Payments

• Nucalo Premium is available as a monthly or annual subscription, processed through Apple's App Store or Google Play Store.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings (iOS) or Google Play account settings (Android).

Nucalo is not a medical application and does not provide medical advice. The nutritional information and features are intended for general wellness tracking only. AI-generated food suggestions and nutritional estimates are approximations and may not be accurate. Always verify nutritional information from authoritative sources.

7. Intellectual Property

The Nucalo name, logo, design, software, and all content are owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nucalo and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use or inability to use the App, including but not limited to data loss, health outcomes, or subscription issues.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability.
